Move over, mac ‘n’ cheese! This grain-based recipe is taking over. Instead of macaroni, you’ll use quinoa, brown rice, and red rice in this recipe. You still get the cheesy, melt-y, creaminess you love in mac ‘n’ cheese, but now with organic grains.
In 2-quart saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour, mustard, salt, pepper and cayenne. Cook over medium-low heat 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk, whisking constantly. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 1 minute longer. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in cheese until melted.
Meanwhile, heat SEEDS OF CHANGE® Quinoa, Brown & Red Rice with Flaxseed as directed on package. Stir into cheese sauce. Spoon into serving bowl; garnish with chives.
